When our people face hardship, Reliance shows up. Through our Employee Assistance Fund (EAF), eligible employees can receive grants up to $10,000 to address urgent needs following natural or personal disasters. The fund is powered by the generosity of our team and matched dollar‑for‑dollar by Reliance, so every contribution goes twice as far. Doing the right thing isn’t only good for business; it’s one example of how we take care of each other.

Our employees are empowered to support the causes that matter most to them. Through our open‑choice giving program, team members can donate to more than 1.5 million nonprofits and receive a company match from Reliance for up to $1,000 each year. Whether you're giving to a local food bank, STEM education, health research, or disaster relief, your impact goes further with Reliance standing alongside you.

This approach comes to life through our partnerships with Ronald McDonald House Charities and 9/11 Day, where employees turn purpose into action through coordinated, high-impact efforts.
RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE
Reliance’s partnership with Ronald McDonald House began with a $1 million donation in 2023 and has grown into a $10 million, five-year commitment as the Founding Sponsor of the Nourishing Families Grant Program. Together, we help fund healthy meals so parents can focus on their child’s recovery, not their next meal. Across our Family of Companies, employees give back through hands-on volunteering at Houses and Family Rooms, organizing drives and events, and supporting families in meaningful ways. Reliance was also a lead donor in the campaign to acquire and renovate the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House properties.
9/11 DAY
Since 2018, Reliance has partnered with 9/11 Day, helping transform tragedy into a national day of unity and doing good.
As a National Presenting Sponsor of the 9/11 Day Meal Packs, we mobilize employees, families, suppliers, and customers to pack meals for local food banks in the communities where we live and work. Each year, hundreds of Reliance employees participate, representing more than 30 Family of Companies, and our collective efforts help produce more than 250,000 meals for local food banks.
We are deeply grateful to Reliance for their generosity and shared commitment to advancing health, well-being, and family-centered care for families during their most challenging moments. Their $10 million multi-year investment helped launch our first-ever global grant program, the Nourishing Families Grant, which expands access to nourishing meal programs so families can focus on their child’s healing and recovery. WeCare empowers our Family of Companies to build CSR programs addressing the needs of their own communities while staying aligned to our enterprise Reliance Cares strategy.
Local leaders select partners, plan volunteer opportunities, and leverage shared tools, resources, and guidance to bring their programs to life and measure impact.
The result is a shared framework that maximizes collective impact – aligned in purpose, flexible in execution.
