WELCOME to the new Reliance Motor Technical Reference home page - a valuable resource for technical and related information on our motors. The MTR is intended to replace the paper version of our Action Guide. It is our intent that the MTR will become your primary focal point for technical motor reference needs. The current release includes data for small and medium AC motors and some DC motor information. Future upgrades will expand on AC and DC motors and include information on submersible motors.

The five major sections of the MTR are numbered and color coded as follows:

1. Organizations & Regulations: A summary of those organizations which govern motor standards and their respective specifications
2. Applications: Theory and guidelines for motor applications
3. Motor Construction: Motor types and their respective features
4. Components: General components and features associated with motors
5. Performance Characteristics: Detailed listing of different motor component performance characteristics

We will continually upgrade the content of the MTR in order to provide you with information that is up-to-date and accurate.
